Terms and conditions

1. By completing Wessex Water Fisheries Survey 2022 (the “Survey”) and entering the prize draw, entrants confirm that they have read and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and Wessex Water Services Limited's privacy policy

2. The promoter of this prize draw is:

3. Entrants must be UK residents, aged 18 years or over. The prize draw is not open to employees of Wessex Water Services Limited or any associated group companies or their families. One entry is allowed per person. Wessex Water Services Limited's decision in relation to a person's eligibility to enter the prize draw will be final.

4. Wessex Water Services Limited is offering those who complete the Survey and enter the prize draw a chance to win one of three Wessex Water Fisheries vouchers, each with a value of £50 and only redeemable at Wessex Water Fisheries.

5. Wessex Water Services Limited and any associated group companies will not be liable for any loss, expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (save for death or personal injury caused by our negligence) in connection with the Survey, the prize draw or accepting or using the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law). 

6. To enter the prize draw, entrants must first complete the Survey. On completion of the Survey, participants will be given the option to enter the prize draw by submitting their contact details to a form. Entries are limited to one per person completing the Survey. Multiple submissions of the same Survey or from the same person are automatically disqualified and will not result in additional entries into the prize draw.

7. The prize draw is open to entries from 12.00 on Monday 7 November 2022 until 23.59 on Sunday 20 November 2022. Late entries will not be accepted. 

8. All prizes are non-refundable, non-transferable, non-negotiable and non-exchangeable and there is no cash alternative offered. 

9. Wessex Water Services Limited reserves the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value. In the event of unforeseen circumstances or circumstances outside its reasonable control, Wessex Water Services Limited reserves the right to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the prize draw without prior notice. 

10. The winners will be selected from all valid entries received during the prize draw period by use of a random number generator.

11. The draw will be held on Wednesday 23 November 2022 and each winner will be notified within five working days of the draw, via e-mail to the address submitted at the time of entry. Wessex Water Services Limited reserves the right to require the winners to provide evidence that they are eligible to enter the prize draw and win a prize. Unsuccessful entrants will not be notified.

12. If a winner fails to respond within five working days of notification that they have won the draw or if a winner fails within five working days following a request from Wessex Water Services Limited to demonstrate that they are eligible to enter the prize draw and win a prize, a redraw will take place from the remaining valid entries to select a new winner. If any winner declines a prize or fails to respond within the required period, they forfeit any right to the prize.

13. The prize will be sent via e-mail to the address supplied within one calendar month of the winner confirming their address. 

14. Save as expressly provided in these terms and conditions and except for the purpose of carrying out the prize draw, contacting winners and sending out prizes Wessex Water Services Limited will not use entrants' personal data without the express consent of the entrants. By choosing to enter the prize draw, entrants are agreeing that Wessex Water Services Limited can hold and process their personal data for the purposes of administrating the prize draw. This will include: creating a list of all entrants, selecting winners and contacting the winners following the draw. All personal data will then be deleted within 30 days of the prizes being awarded and accepted unless entrants have opted to be contacted after this date.

By selecting that they would like to be contacted about their experience entrants are agreeing that Wessex Water Services Limited can store their contact details and may on occasion approach them for further clarification about their responses or to address any concerns raised in the Survey responses.

By signing up to the newsletter, entrants are agreeing that Wessex Water Services Limited can add them to an e-mail distribution list and periodically send them news and information about Wessex Water’s community project or other relevant customer information. Entrants can opt out at any point by contacting Wessex Water Services Limited or using the opt-out function on the newsletter.

15. Wessex Water Services Limited will collect and use the personal information provided to contact entrants in the event of a winning prize draw entry. Wessex Water Services Limited will use and feature winners’ first names and cities closest to them for publicity purposes. If a winner would prefer their details not to be used in this way, please contact Wessex Water Services Limited within 2 weeks of being informed of their winning entry by emailing dpo@wessexwater.co.uk

16. Wessex Water Services Limited does not accept responsibility for network, computer, hardware, software or technical failures of any kind which may restrict or delay the submission of an entry by the closing date. Wessex Water Services Limited has no responsibility for lost, delayed or misdirected entries.

17. Wessex Water Services Limited reserves the right to discount any inappropriate or offensive entries and to disqualify any entries if Wessex Water Services Limited, at its sole discretion, believes that there has been an attempt to manipulate or tamper with the operation of the prize draw (including, without limitation, submitting multiple entries).

18. Save as expressly provided in these terms and conditions and except for the purpose of carrying out the competition, contacting winners and sending out prizes Wessex Water Services Limited, will not use entrants' personal data without the express consent of the entrant. 19. By entering the prize draw entrants agree to be bound by the decisions of Wessex Water Services Limited, which are final in all matters relating to the prize draw. No correspondence will be entered into in respect of Wessex Water Services Limited's decisions. 

20. Wessex Water Services Limited reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time and to hold, void, suspend, cancel or amend this competition where is becomes necessary to do so. 

21. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed exclusively in accordance with the laws of England and the parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England, including the seeking of all injunctive or ancillary relief actions.
