Assessed charges
Assessed charges apply to homes that cannot have a meter fitted or do not have a rateable value.
How assessed charges work
If you apply for a meter but we are unable to fit one, you will be offered an assessed charge. This is a fixed annual charge based on your estimated water usage.
We usually estimate water usage using bandings based on the number of people living in the property. Band 1 is equivalent to one person, Band 2 is equivalent to two people, and so on.
We may also consider other factors (such as property size) where relevant.
